Lest We Forget Membership 

Starting in 2008, Lest We Forget of Southwestern Michigan will offer membership to the public interested in supporting the LWF goal of preserving, promoting, and disseminating the memories of men and women who fought for the freedoms enjoyed by the citizens of the USA, as LWF “Brightens the Future by Illuminating the Past.” 

One-year (calendar year), three-year, and lifetime memberships will be offered.  Initial one-year membership will be $25 for 2008 and will increase to $30 for 2009.  Initial three-year membership will be $50 for 2008-2010 and will increase to $60 for 2009-2011.  The lifetime membership fee will be scaled, as follows, based on age:

Lifetime memberships are preferred to be paid in lump sum, but may be paid on request by installments in $50 increments due quarterly until paid in full.  Upon request, the LWF Board will consider fee modifications for individual hardship situations on a case-by case basis.  Revenue generated by memberships will be re-invested in the LWF general fund maintained by the LWF Treasurer.  Individual laminated membership cards will be issued to members in January of subsequent years.  Membership fees are due not later than 31 December.  Late fee of an additional $5 is due for payments received after the end of December.  The LWF Secretary will maintain the membership records.  Membership cards will be two sided.  The front will have Lest We Forget of Southwest Michigan, the member’s name, and the member’s status – One-year, Three-year, or Lifetime.  The reverse side will state the LWF goal and member expectations:  support the nation, respect the flag, and educate the public.  Fees for one-year, three-year, and lifetime memberships are subject to increases in the future at the determination of the LWF Board.
